Visual artist and professor of Art History at the Department of Fine Arts, University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka. With a wide-ranging portfolio, His artworks have been showcased extensively in exhibitions. Additionally, He has contributed significantly to the academic sphere as the author of numerous articles and book chapters focusing on modern and contemporary visual art in Sri Lanka. As a co-founder of the Sri Lankan Archive for Contemporary Art Architecture and Design in Jaffna, he has played a pivotal role in preserving and promoting Sri Lanka’s artistic heritage. Furthermore, he is the visionary behind the Kolam craft initiative, operating under Living Tradition, aiming to celebrate and sustain traditional art forms.
